Luxury, fashionable, expensive? Discerning, aspirational, designer? Taste, decency, decorum?
Probably not lewd, crass or disgusting – words used by an army of consumers responding on Twitter to the brand’s latest summer sale advertising campaign, launched this week to much (undoubtedly intended) media scrutiny. (Search #containyourself and see what you get).
It needs little explanation, but no that is not just a shadow on their crotches. They are just that excited.
I was keen to explore my own responses to this campaign on Making a Marque, and to gauge the opinions of a few readers, because even now, after a couple of days’ reflection, I can’t quite decide on which side of the fence I sit.
